Centaurea (Asteraceae)

Centaurea calcitrapa

I knew of only 3 Centaurea calcitrapa plants growing in Colorado. One was found in 2014, and two were found in a different area in 2015. They were all pulled up and destroyed. Some seeds were found in 2015. My small seed sample exhibited 50% seed germination (85% if soaked in water for 24 hours).
